Fyxer or Shortwave: which should you pick?
Pick Fyxer if you do not want to learn a new email app and want drafts waiting in your Drafts folder, on Gmail or Outlook, with meeting notes from the same vendor. Pick Shortwave if you are already on Gmail, want a free plan, and like the idea of an AI assistant inside a new client that can search mail and send calendar invites. Pick neither if your problem is unanswered threads.
We make Momo AI, so read our placement of it with that in mind. Prices are from each vendor's own pricing page on 16 October 2026 and change often.
What each one actually is
Fyxer is an overlay. It connects to Gmail or Outlook, labels incoming mail, and on Pro and above writes draft replies in your tone. Its pricing FAQ says it does not send on your behalf. Its scheduling assistant writes a draft reply that carries your booking link; the other person picks a slot from the link.
Shortwave is a replacement client for Gmail and Google Workspace on iOS, Android, Mac and Windows. Its docs say it requires a Gmail or Workspace account to sign in and that Microsoft 365 and Exchange are not supported. Its pricing page lists AI autocomplete, instant AI replies, personalised AI writing, automatic follow-up reminders and an AI assistant that can check availability and send invites.
Price
Fyxer: Free plan with 400 credits a month and no drafting or sorting; Pro $37 per month billed annually or $49 monthly; Team $64 annual or $99 monthly; 14-day Team trial for new sign-ups.
Shortwave: free plan, then Business $30, Premier $45 and Max $120 per seat per month, billed monthly according to its billing guide, with a 14-day trial.
Both bill in US dollars, so Indian buyers pay card conversion charges and GST on top.
Where both stop
Fyxer stops at the draft and the booking link. Shortwave lists follow-up reminders and invite sending, but inside a client you have to switch to. Neither offers free slots in a normal email and books the pick. [Momo AI](/) does that while leaving Gmail untouched: drafts in your voice to Gmail Drafts, every sent thread with no reply flagged and the nudge drafted, meetings booked over email with a Meet link, promises tracked and a morning brief, with your tap on every send. Limits: Gmail only, no Outlook, no meeting notes. Compare it on the Fyxer alternative and Shortwave email alternative pages.
