Inbox triage

Inbox triage that tells you what actually needs you

Momo reads the last week of your Gmail, separates the people from the noise, and clears the noise with one tap. Nothing is deleted, starred mail is never touched, and every archive can be undone for 7 days.

Free during early access. Nothing is sent without your tap. Updated 10 October 2026.

Six buckets, one tap

Momo sorts up to 100 messages from the last 7 days into needs reply, FYI, cold pitches, newsletters and promos, receipts and bills, and notifications. Header rules go first and cost nothing: Gmail category labels, List-Unsubscribe, automated senders, receipt subjects. Only mail from real people goes to the AI, and anything it is unsure about counts as needs reply.

  • Bulk archive works only on FYI, cold pitches, newsletters, receipts and notifications. Needs-reply mail is never bulk-archived.
  • Starred mail is skipped. Any thread that also holds a needs-reply message is protected.
  • Archive removes the INBOX label. Nothing is ever deleted.
  • Every archive gets a batch id. Undo puts the whole batch back, for up to 7 days.
  • Mail you archive yourself in Gmail is recognised on the next scan.

In chat and in the brief

Say "clean up my inbox" and Momo shows one card for newsletters, notifications and cold pitches, then asks separately about receipts and FYI. The morning brief shows the counts too: "Inbox: 12 newsletters, 4 receipts" with a link to clear them.

Why not just filters?

Filters are rules you wrote once. Triage is a judgement made fresh every day on mail you have not seen. The combination of free header rules and AI only for person-to-person mail keeps it cheap, fast and private: senders, subjects and snippets are stored encrypted and purged after 14 days.

Control

Nothing leaves without you

Every email and every cancellation shows up as a card first. Edit it, send it, or discard it. Sends wait 10 seconds so you can undo. Everything Momo reads, drafts and sends is on the Activity page.

How Momo handles your data

Questions

Does Momo delete emails?

No. Archiving removes the INBOX label only. Everything stays in Gmail and can be found with search or restored with undo.

What if it files something wrong?

You can recategorise any item, dismiss it from triage, or undo an entire archive batch for 7 days.

Which Gmail permission does triage need?

Reading your inbox needs gmail.readonly. Archiving needs gmail.modify. Momo tells you if you connected before that permission existed and asks you to reconnect.

Is my email content stored?

Triage stores the sender, subject and a short snippet, encrypted, for 14 days. Email bodies are not stored.
