Gmail has no "sent, no reply yet" folder. You can get close with built-in nudges, a search, and snooze, or hand the whole list to an assistant. Here is each method, what it catches and what it misses.

## Method 1: Turn on Gmail's nudges

Gmail can bring old sent emails back to the top of your inbox when it thinks you should follow up.

## What nudges miss

Nudges are a guess. Gmail decides which threads deserve one and when, you cannot set the number of days, and there is no list of everything you are waiting on. A nudge also disappears once you scroll past it. It is a good safety net and a poor system.

## Method 2: Search your sent mail

Gmail search cannot filter for "no reply", but it can narrow the haystack. Type this in the search bar to see what you sent in the last two weeks that is at least three days old:

- in:sent newer_than:14d older_than:3d
- Add -label:followed-up if you label threads once you chase them.
- Open each thread. If the last message is yours, it is still waiting.

## Method 3: Snooze the thread when you send it

The most reliable manual habit: when you send something that needs an answer, open it in Sent and snooze it until the day you would chase. If no reply has come by then, it returns to the top of your inbox. The downside is that you have to remember to do it every time, and it comes back even if they did reply.

## Method 4: Let an assistant keep the list

Follow-up tools read your sent mail and keep the list for you. Reminder extensions like Boomerang ask you to set a reminder on each email. Assistants like Momo find the threads on their own.

- Momo scans your sent mail and flags every thread with no reply after the number of days you choose, from 1 to 14.
- Each one appears in the morning brief under Waiting on, with a nudge already written in your voice and saved to Gmail Drafts.
- When the other person replies, the item disappears without you doing anything.
- It also tracks promises: "we'll get back to you Monday" becomes something owed to you, with a due date.
- Nothing is sent without your tap.

## Which method should you use

If you send a handful of important emails a week, turn on nudges and snooze the ones that matter. If you send dozens and lose track, a search on Monday mornings is a reasonable habit. If the list in your head is longer than ten people, it is worth handing to something that does not forget.

## Questions

### Can Gmail show emails I sent that got no reply?

Not as a list. Gmail's nudges suggest some old sent emails to follow up on, and a search of sent mail narrows it down, but you have to check each thread yourself.

### How do I turn on follow-up reminders in Gmail?

Settings, See all settings, General, Nudges, then tick "Suggest emails to follow up on" and save.

### Is there a Gmail search for unanswered emails?

No operator detects a missing reply. in:sent with older_than and newer_than narrows it to a window you can scan.

### What tool tracks emails waiting for a reply automatically?

Momo finds every sent thread with no reply after your chosen number of days, drafts the nudge in your voice, and clears the item when they answer.
