# The AI email assistant that asks before it sends

> Momo AI is the AI email assistant that asks before sending. Every email stops at an approval card you tap, recipients chosen by code, with a 10-second undo.

Most AI agents are sold on autopilot. Momo AI is built the other way round: it does all the preparation, then stops. Every email, every cancellation, every meeting move waits on a card that shows exactly what will go out and to whom. You tap, or you don't.

## What does "asks before sending" mean in Momo AI?

It means no email leaves your account without a tap from you. Momo AI drafts, schedules and chases, then puts the result on an approval card. The card shows the recipients, the subject and the full text. Until you tap Send, nothing has happened.

This is not a setting you can forget to turn on. It is how the product works. The only thing you can switch to run without asking is creating a new meeting when there is no conflict, and that is off by default.

- Email: always waits for your tap.
- Cancelling or moving a meeting: always waits for your tap.
- Archiving noise from your inbox: one tap per batch, undoable for 7 days.
- New meeting with no conflict: waits by default; you can allow it in Settings.
- Reading, sorting, drafting, tracking: happens in the background, since nothing leaves.

## Why not just let the AI send?

Because a model that is right 98% of the time still sends the wrong email twice in a hundred. In August 2026 TechCrunch reported a general-purpose agent sending an email its user had not asked for. One wrong email to an investor, a candidate or a customer costs more than the minutes saved on the other ninety-eight.

An approval step also changes what the assistant can be trusted to do. Because nothing leaves without you, Momo AI can draft the awkward reply, propose the meeting times and write the chaser in advance. You review the output, not the process. The guide on [whether it is safe to give AI access to Gmail](/blog/is-it-safe-to-give-ai-access-to-gmail) covers what to check in any tool.

## How the approval card is built

The card is designed so that a mistake by the model cannot become a mistake in your sent folder.

- Recipients are chosen by code from the thread you are replying to, never by the model. Momo AI cannot invent an address.
- The text on the card is the exact text that will be sent. There is no second generation step after you tap.
- Sends from chat have a 10-second undo.
- Drafts in your voice are saved to Gmail Drafts, so you can also edit and send from Gmail itself.
- Every action is listed on the Activity page with what was sent, to whom, and when.

## Is an AI email assistant with approval slower?

Slower than autopilot by one tap per email. Faster than doing it yourself by the whole draft. The morning brief arrives with the drafts already written, so a typical morning is reading ten cards and tapping six. The [morning brief page](/morning-brief) shows what that looks like.

## Questions

### Does Momo AI ever send an email without asking?

No. Every email and every cancellation waits for your tap on a card that shows the recipients and the full text.

### Can I turn approval off?

Not for email. The one exception is creating a new meeting when there is no conflict, which you can allow in Settings.

### What if I tap by mistake?

Sends from chat have a 10-second undo. Archives can be undone for 7 days.

### How is this different from Gemini or Fyxer?

They also leave sending to you. The difference is what happens before: Momo AI finds the follow-ups, books the meetings and writes the brief on its own, so the tap is the only work left.

### Is a safe AI email assistant possible at all?

Safe enough comes from narrow permissions, a human tap before every send, no training on your mail and a clear way to revoke access. Momo AI is built on all four.
