Amy Ingram and Andrew Ingram, the x.ai scheduling assistants you CC'd on an email, stopped working on 31 October 2021. Bizzabo acquired x.ai on 28 May 2021 and folded the technology into its events platform. If you are still searching for Amy, the closest living version of the idea is an assistant that offers times in the email thread and books the pick. Momo AI does that from your own Gmail address and asks before the first email goes out.

## What happened to x.ai and Amy

x.ai made two AI assistants, Amy Ingram and Andrew Ingram. You copied one on an email, it emailed the other person to find a time, and it put the meeting on your calendar. On 28 July 2021 founder Dennis Mortensen posted a notice on x.ai saying the company had been acquired by Bizzabo on 28 May 2021, that the standalone scheduling tool would be shut down, and that the last day of service was 31 October 2021. The notice is preserved in the [Internet Archive](https://web.archive.org/web/20210929055623/https://x.ai/). The x.ai domain today belongs to an unrelated company.

## What replaced it

Two shapes of product picked up the demand. Booking links such as [Calendly](/alternatives/calendly) and [Reclaim](/alternatives/reclaim) ask the other person to pick from your page. CC-style assistants such as [Clara](/alternatives/clara) keep Amy's mechanic: you copy an address, it runs the thread. Clara's site says there is no manual review or human in the loop, and Standard is $80 per month after a 14-day trial.

Gmail itself gained Gemini, which can suggest times inside a reply but does not run the thread or book the pick.

## How Momo AI books meetings over email

Momo AI keeps the part people liked about Amy and changes the part that made people nervous.

- You say "set up a call with Priya next week" in chat. Momo AI checks Google Calendar and drafts an email offering 2 to 4 free slots, in your voice, from your own Gmail address. There is no assistant persona on the thread.
- The draft waits on an approval card showing the recipient and the text. You tap. Sends from chat have a 10-second undo.
- Momo AI reads the reply. A clear pick is booked with a Google Meet link if the slot is still free. Anything unclear comes back to you.
- If they never answer, the thread is flagged after your window with a nudge drafted.
- You also get drafts in your voice, follow-up and promise tracking, inbox triage and a morning brief. Free during early access; Pro at ₹499 per month planned.

## What it does not do

Momo AI is Gmail and Google Calendar only, so it is not a replacement for Amy on Outlook or Office 365. It has no public booking page. It is an assistant for your own meetings, not a team scheduling tool. The method is on the [schedule meetings by email](/schedule-meetings-by-email) page and the manual version in [how to schedule a meeting by email](/blog/schedule-meeting-by-email).
